Ticks are a parasite that belongs to the mite superorder Parasitiformes. They are external parasites that feed off the blood of mammals, birds, and even reptiles and amphibians.
Signs of Ticks
If you have a tick on you it is common not to even notice until after they have bitten you and released themselves. After this happens you may experience itching and see a small red area on the skin. If a tick has a disease it will result in you experiencing a fever along with a rash. If a tick is attached to you you will notice a dark bump that you can’t brush away.
Entry Points
Ticks can come inside by a person or pet. Walking through bushy, forested areas or tall grassy areas is where you can commonly come into contact with a tick.
